Africa Creates: A Nest for the Arts

Africa Creates

My first impression of the Nest was activity. Lots of it. Out on the patio, a two-week course in ‘artivism’ had just started. In quiet corners of the building, creativity was germinating.

According to Wilfred Louis Mwangi, the Administrative Officer, the Nest “serves as a functional playground in which artists, thinkers and curious minds test new ideas within a context of vigorous debate.”

A multi-disciplinary arts organization, the Nest envisions itself as a dynamic arts and culture organization with an agenda: to promote progressive, humanist and alternative conversations across the country.
