News Wrap: Evictions, Nominations and Sextapes + Yeezus and Posthumous Videos.

Let’s keep this short and sweet, cool?  Short and not so sweet is the best way to describe Huddah “Thee Boss Lady” Monroe’s experience in this season of Big Brother Africa because, ahem, she’s already out after being eliminated on Sunday together with Uganda’s Denzel. According to her, the hustle continues. In other Big Brother Africa news, we didn’t have to wait for long for a sex tape because one was already made in advance! Yes, a sex tape has surfaced on the internets allegedly depicting Zimbabwe’s Pokello getting down and dirty. Publicity stunt – who knows?

Speaking of stunts, it is hard to get over the stunt Miguel pulled at the Billboard Awards two weeks ago when he tried to jump over a crowd to a separate section of the stage on which he was performing landing flat on a poor lady’s head and kicking another in the process. Why lie, that’s some hilarious shit right there, the kind of shit that begs for memes and parody videos. The best thing to come out of that ugly situation was this clip of the accident with WWE’s Jim Ross giving some awesome commentary – “Don’t do it!! Think of your family, your fans!!!” Hilarious, right?

What’s not funny though is Kanye West’s upcoming album, Yeezus set for release on June 18. The title is already a topic of fierce debate, but the hotter topic is what the cover will look like, from the one Kim Kardashian posted recently to another doing the rounds depicting Kanye nailed to a Y-Shaped cross. To put the speculation to rest, Ye’s label Def Jam confirmed that this will be what the album will look like:

Moving along, the nominees for the 8th Edition of the Nigeria Entertainment Awards were announced on May 30th.  Camp Mulla and P Unit are in contention against VERY stiff competition from Navio, Fally Ipupa and Radio & Weasel for the best East African Artist/Group award. The awards will extend its traditional venue to collaborate London and Lagos for the ceremony in summer of 2013.

Speaking of collaborations, Nigeria’s Goldie continues to shine from the grave with an unreleased music video, Miliki, featuring Navio surfaced recently courtesy of Kennis Music and Godfather Productions.

BONUS: Nneka features on UK producer Tricky’s new single, Nothing Matters, off his album, False Idols which is out now.
