It’s yet another day full of new, not-so-new and buzzing music releases from around and about the Kenyan scene. Let’s get right into it:
Eclipse – Superstition
Eclipse have finally dropped the visuals to Superstition off their upcoming album Kenyan Kid Iz The Future. Check it out above.
Sage – Girl In A Blue Dress
Sage has done what she tends to do and blessed us with another splendid release. Here is Girl In A Blue Dress, a dreamy and sincere song with a message for her daughter (and perhaps her past self)? It’s beautiful for sure.
Madtraxx – Haribu Soko
The clashing uptown-downtown composition of the super-group that has come to be known as The Kansoul has changed the approach Madtraxx has taken with his music recently and adds credibility to the story he weaves in his new track. Haribu Soko is all about unnecessarily “spoiling” girls from less leafy neighbourhoods.
Dela – Ahadi Zako
Dela’s move to Taurus Musik has somewhat refreshed her brand for the better. She continues on her upward trajectory with a brand new tune, Ahadi Zako produced by R.Kay. Also, check out her collabo with Gilad which ironically sounds like a prequel to this track.
Kayvo Kforce – Opportunity
It was only a matter of time until someone made a song out the eloquent soundbyte provided by Morris Mwenda, decrying the lack of opportunity and attention given to the many Kenyans struggling to survive on the streets. Kayvo Kforce actually made a decent tune out of it.
#WaveyWednesdays keeps delivering some good stuff from the EA Wave collective. This time, they team up with Janice Iche on Hi, a wavey three minute trip to an awesome corner of your mind. Close your eyes and let it take you away.
