New Music: Kiu, Fena & Wangechi, Blinky Bill, Sage, M^3 + Joy Gitau

Kiu – Aye (Davido Cover)

Three-piece girl band Kiu are currently working with Jaaz Odongo’s Music Image Sound outfit after the relative success of their breakout track Mwanake. Their first offering under MIS is a glorious cover of Davido’s Aye. Check the video out above.

Fena & Wangechi – They Don’t Know

Fena and Wangechi have finally dropped They Don’t Know, their much anticipated collaboration produced by Kevin Provoke for TEN CITIES, a project by Goethe -Institut Kenya. Their styles complement each other so well, there is no reason they shouldn’t do a full length album or EP together. Right?

Blinky Bill – Bumaye

Just A Band’s Blinky Bill has been churning new beat tracks for the past month or so, perhaps in preparation for his first ever solo gig (#TheBlinkyBillExperience) which took place at The Elephant over the weekend. His latest is the curiously named Bumaye. Inspired by the “Rumble in the Jungle” and Congo 74 maybe?

Sage – Mistakes

We rarely get to hear stuff from Sage but they when they do come around they tend to be a treat. She’s back with Mistakes a neo-soul tune with her signature sound all over it.

M^3 ft. Nuru – Secret Love Affair

M^3 is a 17 year old up and coming music producer, artiste and instrumentalist. The talent M^3 exhibits speaks for itself in many ways through his first release called Secret Love Affair  featuring Nuru. He is planning to release an EP soon and  if any of his future releases sound this good, he  is bound to get the attention he already deserves.

Joy Gitau – Everytime

Joy Gitau’s spanking new track  called Everytime produced by Kevin Provoke joins the growing catalogue of noteworthy Afro-house bangers from the East African region.
